Donnie Wann, 86 Dumas, TX

Graveside Service at the Walters Cemetery, Walters, OK, Saturday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Jack Jacob officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.

Donnie Ray Wann was born to Marvin Escar and Jewell (Copeland) Wann on August 29, 1936 in Walters, OK and departed this life in Amarillo, TX on October 22, 2022 at the age of 86 years, 1 month and 23 days.

Donnie grew up at Walters, graduating from WHS in 1954. He then served in the Navy from 1955-59 and continued in the reserves through 1961. Upon his discharge, he went to work for Halliburton in Farmington, NM. While there he married Zola Deloyis MacKay and they raised two children. They moved to Dumas, TX in 1964 and he began a 35-year carrier with Diamond Shamrock.

Donnie enjoyed semitrucks, motorcycles and his beagles. He loved time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Jewell Wann; his wife, Zola; a great grandson, Dax Stover; a brother-in-law, Gale Fisher; a sister-inlaw, Barbara Wann; and a nephew Stephen Wann; a great nephew, Gage Fisher.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Ray Witt of Dumas, TX; a son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Trinh Wann of Amarillo, TX; a brother, Dickie Wann of Walters; a sister, Patricia Fisher of Walters; 5 grandchildren, Braden Witt of Provincetown, MA, Kayla Morris and Cliff of Evergreen, CO, Meredith Stover and Ryan of Amarillo, Dallas Wann of Abilene, TX and Trinity Wann of Amarillo; 2 great grandchildren, Maddox Morris and Brody Stover; other relatives and friends.
