The 2023 Walters Rodeo Queen/Ambassador contest will open on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. Tickets may be picked up at the June 13th Round-Up Club meeting at 6:30 pm.
Girls are eligible to run for queen and boys are eligible to run for ambassador. (ONLY ONE WINNER) All contestants must be under 25 and single. Contestants must also be a member of the Walters Round-Up Club or pay $20.00 to become a member. A parent or guardian must accompany the contestant when checking out tickets. All contestants must be able to ride and control their horse. Contestants will need to bring their horse and ride in front of the board members on Tuesday June 13TH at 6:30 pm. The parent or guardian and contestants will be responsible for the tickets that are checked out.
Advance tickets will be sold until 6:00 p.m. on July 13, 203 and the winner will be determined by the contestant selling the most advance rodeo tickets and/or money raised. A horse trailer will be awarded to the winner, 2nd place will receive $200, and 3rd place will receive $150. The winning contestants must turn in at least $3,500 to be eligible to receive the trailer. 2nd and 3rd place must turn in at least $1,000 to be eligible for the prize money.
PRINCESS CONTEST
The Walters Round-Up Club Princess Contest will open on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. Princess Contestants must be 10 or under. Tickets may be picked at the June 13th Walters Round-Up Club meeting at 6:30 pm. The contestant has to be a Walters Round-up Club member or pay $20 to become a member. A parent or guardian must accompany the contestant when checking out tickets. All contestants must be able to ride and control their horse. Contestants will need to bring their horse and ride in front of the board members on Tuesday June 13th at 6:30 pm. The Contestants parent or guardian will be responsible for all tickets and/or money raised. The contestant must turn in at least $500 to be eligible for the prize. The contestant turning in the most money will become the 2023-2024 Walters Round-Up Club Princess. The winner will receive a Princess belt buckle.
The date for the Walters Rodeo is July 13th, 14th and 15th.
