Walters Has A New City Manager

Walters has welcomed Matt LaFee as our new city manager on May 8, and he started his position earlier this month. He had accomplished many great things for the Stephens County community, such as being a part of the expansion of events for the Stephens County Fairgrounds, which helped tourism and tax revenue grow in that area. LaFee showed his eagerness about working in Walters in a statement. “I’m thrilled at this wonderful opportunity the Lord has blessed me with, to serve the great community of Walters,” he stated. “I look forward to working together with the residents, city employees, mayor and city council to help improve the beautiful city of Walters.” We can’t wait to see all of the great things Matt has to bring to our community, and wish him the best of luck in his new position as city manager.
