Ag Accurate Reading With Claire Nease

Last week Cotton County 4-H and Walters FFA Officer, Claire Nease visited Mrs. Burns’ 4th grade class to read an Ag Accurate book about how peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are made.

The mission stated on the Agfoundation.org website is to, “Increase agricultural literacy among educators, students, and the general public. Our mission is to build awareness, understanding, and a positive public perception of agriculture through education. We do so by developing and distributing educational resources, curriculum materials, and programs that promote a better understanding of agriculture’s importance and its role in daily life.

Through partnerships and initiatives, we work to bridge the gap between farmers and consumers, fostering a greater appreciation for the food, fiber and fuel produced by American farmers and ranchers.”

Thank you to Mrs. Burns, and Claire Nease for giving our Walters Blue Devils a better understanding on how everyday life involves Agriculture!
