Linda Michelle Keener was born to Samuel David and Vivian Pearl (Duncan) Toumbs on April 17, 1954 in Dallas, TX and departed this life in Temple, OK on July 19, 2022 at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 19 days.
Coming to Temple at an early age, Linda attended Temple Public Schools, graduating from THS in 1972. She went on to a career with Halliburton as a data entry operator. She married Cody David Keener in 1976 and to the union a daughter, Misty, was born.
Upon leaving Halliburton, Linda worked at Walters Bank and Trust Company and then on to the Turnpike Authority as a toll booth attendant all the while making Temple her home. Her final employment was at the casino until her health began to fail. Linda enjoyed square dancing, camping at the lake, traveling, painting ceramics and interior decorating.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Pearl.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Misty Laguna of Duncan, OK; her brother, Michael Toumbs and wife Jerri of Las Vegas; 6 grandchildren, Alicia Laguna of Temple, OK, Marco Laguna of Choctaw, OK, Lexi Laguna of Walters, OK, Ailey Laguna, Matao Laguna and Madix Laguna all of Hastings, OK; 3 great grandchildren, Hensley, Daxton and Harlo; other relatives and many friends.
