WPEF Golf Tournament Winning Teams

The Walters Public Education Foundation recently hosted a 4-person scramble golf tournament on Friday, June 11 at the Harvest Golf Club (Lakeside Golf Course) in Walters.

The tournament began with a shotgun start at 9 am. Ten teams competed in this year's event. Placing first were Kyle Ray, Carter Ray, Steve Winfrey and Oliver Winfrey. Placing second were Casey Brown, Brook Brown, Clay Brown and Kevin Hardzog. Longest drive was won by Kyle Ray and Heath King won closest to the pin.

The WPEF Board would like to thank our sponsors for supporting this fundraiser and Weston and Lacie Hoodenpyle at Harvest Golf Club for their hard work.

All proceeds from the tournament will be used to support Walters Public Schools with teacher grants and scholarships for WHS graduates. Since 1984, over $800,000 in scholarships and grants have been awarded.
