Walters Elementary Fifth Presented “Rock Around The 50’s

'Rock Around the 50's' was presented by the Walters Elementary Fifth grade class under the direction of Denise Tulloh. Songs presented were 'Rock Around the Clock,' 'Mister Sandman,' 'Jailhouse Rock,' 'Yakety Yak,' 'Splish Splash,' and 'La Bamba.' The students enjoyed learning about sock hops, The Big Bopper, Elvis Presley, novelty songs, and poodle skirts. The students were assisted by Taylor Noland, Amy Norman, Cyndi Monroe, Colette Dyke and Jackie Myers.
