OKFB Members Re-elect Rodd Moesel As President; Other Leaders Elected

Rodd Moesel was re-elected to his third two-year term as president of Oklahoma Farm Bureau by voting delegates at the organization’s annual meeting Nov. 6 in Norman. Moesel was first elected as OKFB president in 2017 and previously represented District Three on the OKFB board for seven years.

“The past few years have been unconventional, as our organization has navigated agricultural challenges and a pandemic, but I’m proud of our members pressing onward and what the organization has accomplished during these times,” Moesel said. “I really appreciate the support of the members, and I cannot wait to see what the next two years hold.”

Moesel and his wife, Dona, own and operate American Plant Products and Services in western Oklahoma City. The grandson of dairy farmers and lifelong Farm Bureau members, Moesel grew up on a vegetable farm and greenhouse operation. He first became involved in the farm organization as a 4-H member.

Board members, committee leaders elected

Monte Tucker of Roger Mills County was re-elected to a three-year term as District Two Director. Tucker will represent Beckham, Custer, Greer, Harmon, Kiowa, Jackson, Roger Mills, Tillman and Washita counties.

Members in District Five elected Michael Clark of Le Flore County to serve a three-year term on the OKFB board of directors. Counties represented in District Five include Atoka, Bryan, Choctaw, Haskell, Latimer, Le Flore, McCurtain, Pittsburg and Pushmataha.

Mike Leverett of McClain County was elected to a threeyear term representing District Eight on OKFB’s board of directors. Cleveland, Coal, Garvin, Hughes, McClain, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie and Seminole counties are represented in District Eight.

The OKFB Women’s Leadership Committee re-elected Paula Sawatsky of Custer County to represent District Two for another three-year term. Arlene LeMaster of Le Flore County was re-elected to represent District Five for a threeyear term. District Eight re-elected Jan Long of Pontotoc County for a three-year term.

The OKFB Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee elected Logan and Brittany Hukill of Caddo County to serve as committee chairmen for a one-year term. Will and Leslie Lewis of Okmulgee County were elected as vice chairmen and Chris Hoskins of Rogers County will serve as committee secretary. Additional committee members elected this year include Gaven and Taylor Harting, Jackson County, District Two; Cody and Kara Goodknight, Comanche County, District Four; Jared and Bay Engler, McCurtain County, District Five; Jaden Brunnemer, Woods County, District Seven: LC and Jaclyn Darling, Coal County, District Eight; Austin Jackson, Payne County, At-Large and Newlin Humphrey, Payne County, Collegiate.
