Yes, Cotton County Residents we will be having a County Free Fair August 17-21, 2021 at the Cotton County Expo Center and Ag Arena. The week will kick off with Indoor 4-H Exhibits being entered on Tuesday, August 17 with extended entry time from 2pm to 7pm. Wednesday, August 18 from 2pm to 7pm the building will be open to take Open Class Exhibits. Open Class Exhibits are open to any person living in Cotton County. There are both youth and adult classes. So, show your community support and bring out something you made from quilting to canning to arts & crafts to produce your growing in your garden, we have a class you can enter your exhibits in. To ensure you know what you can enter, you can pick up a Cotton County Free Fair Book at the OSU Extension Office on the 1st Floor of the Cotton County Courthouse. Also feel free to get your entry tags and start tagging your entries early.

Also, this year we will be hosting again the Decorated Golf Ball Contest sponsored by Lakeside Golf Course. Exhibitors both youth and adults can enter 1 decorated golf ball and compete to win Green Fee Passes worth 18 free holes of golf. Golf Ball entries are due to the County Fair by 6pm on Thursday, August 19, 2021.

The fair will officially open on Friday, August 20 at 11am. Fill free to have lunch at the OHCE Concession Stand. They will be having their famous OHCE Chicken Salad Sandwiches along with other goodies. Friday evening, we will be having the poultry, rabbit and horse shows and all livestock have to be pre-entered by 7pm. Saturday, August 21 will kick off with the Livestock Shows followed by the pet show. Don’t forget about the Homemade Ice Cream Contest hosted by the Walters Chamber of Commerce at 11am.
