Free formula and diaper distribution comes to Cotton County on August 20.
The Infant Crisis Services BabyMobile, a mobile formula and diaper pantry, will visit Walters on Thursday, August 20.
The BabyMobile will be at Cotton County Drug, 619 E Missouri Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children under the age of 4 are eligible to receive one week’s worth of diapers, baby wipes, and formula or food — free of charge.
The BabyMobile will serve clients first come, first served on a drive-thru basis. The adult present should be the parent or legal guardian but does not have to bring the baby.
Babies and toddlers who lack access to diapers, formula, and nutritious food are at risk of delayed development and poor health. Infant Crisis Services developed the unique BabyMobile service to break down the transportation barrier that prevents many families from receiving these life-sustaining necessities. The trip to Cotton County expands the nonprofit’s service to include 33 counties in Oklahoma.
Infant Crisis Services provides this assistance a maximum of four times per calendar year for each child. Visits must be at least a week apart. Visits to the nonprofit’s office in Oklahoma City and to the BabyMobile count toward the four visits.
The BabyMobile schedule may change due to adverse weather conditions. For the current schedule and updates, families can call 405-528-3663.
