Huge News For The City Of Walters!

The City of Walters is excited to share some fantastic news that was received from Congressman Tom Cole’s office regarding the Housing and Urban Development appropriations bill that was officially signed into law. Included in this legislation is $4.34 million in funding for Walters’ Substation Rebuild and Capacity Enhancement Project — a major investment in the future of our community.

This project is critically important for Walters. A brand-new electrical substation will strengthen the reliability of our power infrastructure, support future growth, and position our city to welcome more housing, new development, and additional businesses. Simply put, this is a transformational step toward enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Congressman Tom Cole and his entire staff for their leadership and dedication in helping secure this community funding and bringing it across the finish line.

We would also like to recognize Mayor Jonathan Morgan and City Manager Matt LaFee for their continued advocacy, meetings with federal partners, and unwavering commitment to moving Walters forward.

Most importantly, we give thanks to the Lord for His continued blessings over our city.

Big things are happening in Walters, and the future is bright!
