Meredith and Blake Shumpert have been recognized as the 2026 Cotton County Farm Family of the Year. With more than 10 years of Farm Bureau membership, the Shumperts are committed to agriculture and raising the next generation with an appreciation for farm life.
Their family operation includes wheat, milo, corn, stocker calves, and a cow-calf cattle operation. Their three children are actively involved in the family’s agricultural activities, helping with livestock, cattle, equipment, and the family’s egg business. Through their involvement, the children are gaining valuable hands-on experience and learning the importance of responsibility and hard work in agriculture.
