April 24th, the City of Walters met with representatives from the Comanche Nation to discuss continued partnership efforts and preparations for the upcoming Homecoming Powwow event at Sultan Park.
City Manager Matt LaFee and Electric Superintendent Roger Noland met with Comanche Nation Chairman Forrest Tahdooahnippah, members of the Homecoming Committee, Nolan Tahdooahnippah and Secretary, the Powwow Committee to ensure that the City of Walters and the Comanche Nation continue working together as strong community partners for years to come.
We are incredibly grateful to the Comanche Nation for continuing to host their important Homecoming Powwow in our community each year. Events like these celebrate culture, tradition, and community, and we are honored to support them.
Meetings like today’s help strengthen communication, partnership, and cooperation as we continue building positive relationships that benefit our entire community. We look forward to many more years of working together and supporting one another.
