Stolen Property Found And Man Arrested

On November 23, 2025, the Cotton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of two stolen trailers taken from a property located on County Road 1780 west of State Highway 65.

The reporting party advised the trailers were taken sometime between November 21 and November 22, 2025, from the back portion of the property approximately 1⁄2 mile from the roadway.The victim was able to provide surveillance footage from the property.

During the investigation, the victim reported locating one of the stolen trailers listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace on November 22, 2025. Further investigation revealed that scrap metal which had been loaded onto the stolen trailer had been sold to a local recycling facility.

Documentation provided by the recycling facility showed Jason Gwin as the seller, and records indicated he received approximately $405.00 for the scrap metal.

After a lengthy investigation that included reviewing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and coordinating with local businesses, investigators developed probable cause in the case.

Based on the investigation, warrants were issued for Jason Edward Lee Gwin for:
• CF Grand Larceny
• CF Grand Larceny

Gwin was arrested on the outstanding warrants and booked into the Cotton County Jail on March 4, 2026.
