Cotton County Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest

On the evening of February 27, 2026, a Cotton County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a red pickup on U.S. Highway 70 just west of Randlett, Oklahoma, after observing a defective taillight.

During the stop, a CLEET-certified narcotics K9 was deployed and alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics in the vehicle. Deputies then conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle.

During the investigation, suspected illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle.

Further investigation revealed additional suspected narcotics concealed on passenger Jessica Christine Roderick, including substances that field-tested positive or methamphetamine and fentanyl, along with drug paraphernalia. The combined weight of the suspected narcotics was approximately 6 grams. Roderick was taken into custody and charged with:

• CF Aggravated Trafficking in Illegal Drugs (Fentanyl)
• CM Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Roderick was transported to the Cotton County Jail.

Brad Allen Baber was later arrested in connection with this investigation and charged with:

• CF Aggravated Trafficking in Illegal Drugs (Fentanyl)
• CM Destroying Evidence
• CM Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

All seized evidence was submitted to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) for laboratory analysis.
