Wednesday, February 18, City of Walters staff and leadership met with UTS, Myers Engineering, and the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to discuss the upcoming implementation of our new water and electric meter system.
Installation will begin March 1st.
This important infrastructure upgrade will:
• Improve system efficiency
• Provide more accurate and reliable readings
• Enhance customer service
• Strengthen operations for both our staff and community
• Improve overall quality of life for our residents
This is a major step forward for Walters as we continue modernizing our utilities and investing in long-term improvements.
During installation, you may see UTS crews or City staff in neighborhoods, near meter cans, or in yards. If you have questions or concerns about personnel in your area, please contact City Hall directly so we can quickly assist you.
Important: This upgrade will NOT affect your billing usage or utility payment due dates.
