PROCLAMATION NOTICE OF ELECTION

Under and by virtue of Section 26, Article X of the Oklahoma Constitution and Title 70, Article XV, Oklahoma Statutes 2011, and laws supplementary and amendatory thereto and a Resolution of the Board of Education of Independent School District Number 101 of Cotton County, Oklahoma, adopted on the 19th day of November, 2025, an election is hereby called to be held in said School District on the 10th day of February, 2026, for the purpose of submitting to the registered, qualified electors thereof the following proposition:

PROPOSITION

Shall Independent School District Number 101 of Cotton County, Oklahoma, incur an indebtedness by issuing its bonds in the sum of Four Hundred Ninety-Five Thousand Dollars ($495,000) to be used in or for the purpose to provide funds for the purpose of constructing, equipping, repairing and remodeling school buildings, acquiring school furniture, fixtures and equipment and acquiring and improving school sites and levying and collecting an annual tax, in addition to all other taxes, upon all the taxable property in such District sufficient to pay the interest on such bonds as it falls due and also to constitute a sinking fund for the payment of the principal thereof when due, said bonds to bear interest not to exceed the rate of ten (10%) percentum per annum, payable semi-annually and to become due serially within five (5) years from their date?

The ballots used at said election shall set out the proposition as above set forth and shall also contain the following words:

The polls shall be opened at seven o’clock A.M. and remain open continuously until and be closed at seven o’clock P.M.

The number and location of the polling places and the names of the persons who shall conduct said election shall be designated by the County Election Board(s). Such officers shall also act as counters.

The specific projects for which at least eighty-five percent (85%) of the proceeds of the aforesaid Bonds shall be expended and the dollar amounts for each project shall be as follows:

To perform improvements district wide, as needed: $175,000.00

To acquire an Ag truck and a suburban, or other similarly enclosed utility vehicle, for district use: $140,000.00

To acquire and install new ceiling tiles at the cafeteria and the elementary building: $125,000.00

To acquire and install playground equipment: $50,000.00

To acquire and install technology equipment: $5,000.00

TOTAL: $495,000.00

WITNESS our hands as President and Clerk of the above Board of Education and the seal of said School District this 19th day of November, 2025.
