On January 6, 2026, the City of Walters proudly honored Oklahoma Garden Club Past President, MaryAnn Holman, for her lifelong dedication to the beauty, pride, and spirit of Walters, Oklahoma. Mayor Jonathan Morgan presented MaryAnn with the MaryAnn Holman Beautify Walters Fund Appreciation Certificate in recognition of her extraordinary service and unwavering commitment to community improvement.

MaryAnn Holman Beautify Walters Fund was officially established in her honor to recognize her lifelong devotion to beautification, civic pride, community improvement and volunteer service. This fund reflects MaryAnn’s passion for enhancing our community and supporting projects that make Walters a brighter, cleaner, and more welcoming place for all.

The award further states that an annual allocation of $1,500 will support local beautification efforts led by clubs, organizations, and volunteers—helping enhance parks, streetscapes, and public spaces throughout the city. This initiative ensures that lasting legacy of MaryAnn’s vision, commitment to making Walters a brighter, cleaner more beautiful place and love for Walters will continue to flourish for generations to come.
