The City of Walters Street Department has been hard at work this summer and we’re excited to share the progress so far.
They have successfully completed 13 city blocks of asphalt overlay, including:
W. Oklahoma St. – 3 blocks
W. Nevada St. – 2 blocks
W. Washington St. – 1 block
5th St. – 2 ½ blocks
Virginia Ave. – 1 ½ blocks
2nd St. – 1 block
1st St. – 2 blocks
That leaves just 5 or 6 more blocks to go before we begin work on Road 2910 west of town.
City Manager Matt LaFee said:
“We still have many more roads to work on in town. Our crews will continue repairs and improvements throughout the winter while we plan for next summer’s road repair project.”
