Homer Don Claxton, Jr (JR) was born to Homer Don Claxton and Ruby Claxton on October 24, 1964 in Oregon and departed this life at the Marlow Nursing Home/Rehabilitation Center, in Marlow, OK on July 16, 2025, after a lengthy illness at the age of 60 years and 265 days.
JR grew up in Oregon and later moved to Walters, OK with his parents in 1970 where he attended and graduated from Walters Public Schools.
JR is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Mathie & Edith Claxton and Paul & Willie Davis, sister Linda Claxton Smith, brothers Garry Claxton and Michael Claxton.
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Don Brown, sisters Terry Rash & husband Harvey Rash, Eadie Murray & husband Eddie Murray, Wanda Horton, and a brother Danny & wife Robin Claxton and other relatives and friends.
