The Walters Chamber of Commerce board held a Special Meeting on June 16th at 5:15 p.m. in the Walters Chamber Meeting Room in Walters, Oklahoma. The meeting was officiated by Matt LaFee.
Item #1 – Board Members present were: Matt LaFee and Daci Padgett. Board Members Joi Bellamy, Carrie Belcher, Shirley Cooper, Myiul Morris, Donna Ouellette, and Wendy Zimmerman were unable to attend.
Item #2 – Additional Chamber Members and/or Visitors present: Russell Doake, Wes Eidson, Karla Eschiti, and Dan Heintzman.
Item #3 – Due to a lack of quorum, the Board and visitors discussed the following items, pending Board approval:
- 4th of July games and supplies, events, fireworks, and police and fire department volunteers.
- Potentially allocating $1,000.00 for fireworks and $350.00 for live music.
- Inviting food trucks and vendors.
- Choosing a chairperson for the upcoming Car Cruz, selecting a theme, and securing sponsors.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Walters Chamber of Commerce will be Monday, July 14th at 5:15 p.m. in the Chamber Room of the Walters Public Library.
