Carl “Butch” McCammon, 83

Weatherford, OK

Carl “Butch” McCammon was born November 8, 1941, in Duncan, Okla. Butch graduated from Walters High School in 1959. Butch entered heaven on Friday, June 27, 2025. Butch was a friend to so many and will be missed by all. Butch was a devoted Christian who shared his faith with his words and his deeds. He was very talented and was eager to help anyone at any time. Butch lived his faith in Christ on a daily basis. His favorite saying was, “We are so blessed.”

Butch loved his church and served faithfully. His passion for cars and all things mechanical led to the often used statement, “Go ask Butch.” Butch worked at an auto parts store in Lawton before moving to Weatherford and working with Larry Vaughan at Weatherford Auto Supply. He retired with ANR Pipeline. Most men like to think they can fix things but Butch could fix ANYTHING.

Traveling with Jeanne was always an adventure and a favorite hobby for both. Every trip always included getting lost at least once and making forever memories.

Butch is survived by his wife Jeanne of Weatherford, son Michael, daughters Debbie, Rhonda, Vickie, JoRel, and Jordan. Also, a special niece Paula and nephew Steve and his wife Linda. Also surviving are loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Butch was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, LaNell, and his parents Wilburn and Sarah McCammon, his two brothers Charles and Harold.
