It’s that time of year again — harvest season is in full swing, and with it comes increased semi-truck and equipment traffic on our local roads and highways.
Please be patient and cautious:
• Expect slower-moving vehicles, especially on rural roads.
• Keep a safe distance — large trucks need more room to stop.
• Be extra alert at intersections and while passing.
• Give wide loads the space they need to maneuver safely.
Our farmers and drivers are working long hours to bring in the harvest — let’s help keep everyone safe on the road!
As always, if you spot a traffic hazard or need assistance, don’t hesitate to call Walters PD.
Stay alert, drive safe, and thank a farmer!
