We are thrilled to share that the City of Walters received another incredibly generous donation yesterday — $1,000 from Shirley Cooper — to go toward the Kidtopia Splashpad Project! We are so grateful for Shirley’s support and commitment to our community’s kids.

We would also like to take a moment to recognize and sincerely thank several other individuals, businesses, and organizations who have stepped up in a big way to make this dream a reality:

• Farm Bureau – $7,500

• Jeff Baumann – $2,500

• Bill Boyer – $2,000

• Elmer Roger Graham – $2,500

• Danny Marlett – $1,000

• Walters Bank and Trust – $2,500

• Cotton Electric – $2,500

• Mary Ann Holman – $200

• David Schumpert – $300

• Larry Norman – $200

• Walters Chamber of Commerce – $500

• To Brett and Nannette High – for the purchase of the DOC building (Funds applied to the Splashpad!)

Thanks to the generosity of these donors and supporters, we’ve raised a total of $155,000 so far — we’re just $17,000 away from fully funding this amazing project for the children of our community!
