By The City of Walters
At City Hall, Karla Eschiti wears many hats — from Human Resources, Finance, and Payroll to Customer Service — but today, we want to shine a spotlight on her incredible work as our Emergency Management Director.
During the recent historical flooding, Karla was always one step ahead, providing invaluable guidance to our community. She took the lead in calling flood zone homes, renters, and property owners, ensuring they were informed of decisions, voluntary evacuations, and the process for reporting damages.
Karla’s dedication didn’t stop there. She assisted with organizing donations, guiding our Floodplain Administrator, and helping city employees with late-night coordination of supplies, deliveries, and staffing. Her tireless work early in the mornings and well into the evening ensured that our community remained safe and property damage was minimized.
Karla continues to demonstrate love, loyalty, and an unwavering commitment to the City of Walters and its residents. We are truly grateful for her service and the impact she’s made during this challenging time.
Thank you, Karla, for everything you do!
