We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Mac’s Quik Mart in Walters for their incredibly generous $1,000 donation towards the cleanup efforts following the historic flooding in our community.
Brai Heintzman, a city official, had the honor of meeting with the owners and staff of Mac’s to personally accept this kind donation, and we truly appreciate their support in this time of need.
A big shoutout to all the donations, volunteers, and our amazing community for coming together to help. Our town’s motto, “Big Heart – Small Town,” has never been more evident!
We also want to thank the city staff and all the volunteers who have been tirelessly working, including filling several thousand sandbags since last Saturday. A special thank you to Michael Duggins! Your dedication and hard work are what make Walters a place we can all be proud of.
