Our sweet momma had a deep and unwavering Christian faith. Her purpose in life was to make sure all knew our Jesus. God was the cornerstone of her life, followed by her love and devotion to her family. She loved Pap (Dale) with all her heart, and her daughters, grandkids, and great-grandkids were her absolute JOY! Her legacy of faith lives on through her family.

She was an inspiration to all that she came in contact with. When people think of mom, they’re reminded of a helping hand, a loving heart, and one of the sweetest people. If you knew mom, she was always full of compliments to others, making all feel so beautiful inside and out. Mom was one in a million!

Darlene has been active in her church through the years, teaching Sunday school and Bible school, as well as holding prayer meetings in her home. She enjoyed Billy Graham messages and her daily time with God. She was a member of Corum Baptist Church, Duncan Garden Club, Book Review Club, and Christian Women’s Ministries.
