The City of Walters has launched a new website to make it more convenient for the Walters residents to connect with what is happening in the city as well as pay their utility bills on line, review city ordinances or codes, access forms such as applications and permit information.
Matt LaFee, city manager, stated, “We want the website to be user friendly to make it easier for the residents in our city to be able to access things that the city hall is doing, access the different forms, get to know the governing body and to promote our small community.”
The website will enable the city to post pictures of work in progress as well as the beautiful family oriented parks we have within our city. To access the website, go to Waltersok.org
The City of Walters is a work in progress and we are catching up to the 21st century with the new website and upgrades within our city. Prior to the new website our residents would have to go inside the city office, mail a check or go to a second party website to pay their bills. Now the residents can find out what is happening within our city, pay their utility bill, access applications and check out the city codes at the touch of a keyboard.
It is exciting to see the progress we are making and have made with the new city manager, Matt LaFee and the City Council as well as community members.
The teamwork approach has made a huge positive impact on our city and we can’t wait to see all the planned projects and ideas unfold in the future!
