Walters had its first snowfall of the year last week. Citizens reported receiving about 3 inches of snow, with others around Cotton County seeing around 4 inches. Schools in Cotton County closed due to road conditions, giving kids two back-to-back snow days to enjoy. Those who ventured out on the roads saw local kids building snowmen, having snowball fights, and even riding four-wheelers while pulling sleds.
