Deborah Jo “Debby” Williams was born to Norma Jean (Hite) and Joseph Wayne Williams on June 8, 1954, in Columbus, OH, and departed this life in Walters, OK, on January 3, 2025, at the age of 70 years, 6 months, and 26 days.
Debby grew up mainly in Ohio and California but has also made her home in Arizona and New Mexico. Many of her years were spent raising her boys in the Columbus and Grove City, OH, area where she worked 30 years as a Critical Care Tech at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She has made her home in Walters, OK, since 2017, working at the Walters EzGo, the Loves at Randlett, and for 3 years at Mac’s Quick Mart in Walters.
Debby loved Cherry Pepsi and enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, reading, crocheting, and gardening with her green thumb. She loved her many pets through the years, including her current dogs, Shadow and Bear, and has been missing her dear dog, Shiloh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Chris Elswick in 2002 and Jason Elswick in 2023; a sister, Cindy Kessling; and a brother, Joey Williams.
Survivors include her grandson, Kerry Elswick of Chillocothe, OH; 3 sisters, Cathy Douglass of Walters, OK, Annette Radel and James of Grove City, OH, and Paulette Manning and Scott of Mt. Sterling, OH; her bonus son, Doug Nelson of Jonesville, SC, and Kristina Denny of Walters; other relatives and a host of friends.
