Cotton County Angel Tree
The Cotton County Angel Tree program will begin accepting Angel requests on Monday, October 7th, and end on Thursday, November 7th. This program is available to families currently receiving SNAP benefits and residing in Cotton County, with children between newborn and eighteen years of age eligible to be signed up for the Angel Tree.
How to Register:
Requests can be made in person at the Cotton County DHS office between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The names of children submitted will be converted to a numbered Angel to maintain anonymity.
Angel Selection:
Beginning Monday, November 12th, paper Angels will be available for selection in the city where the child resides:
• Walters: Walters Bank and Trust
• Temple: First State Bank of Temple
The deadline to select an Angel to buy for is Friday, December 6th. All gifts should be returned to the location where the Angel was selected by Monday, December 9th, no later than 2:00 p.m. Please ensure the Angel number is recorded on each gift.
Gift Distribution:
Distribution will take place on Friday, December 13th in your city of residence. Please bring your letter to pick up gifts:
• Walters: Pick-up at the DHS office between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
• Temple: Pick-up at the Temple Area Food Pantry, Haggar Building (NE corner of Commercial).
