Funeral Services for Brian Vincent Palmer will be held at First Baptist Church, Temple, OK, on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Michael E. Turner officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, OK, on the same afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
Brian Vincent Palmer was born to Debra Kaye Diggs and Gerald Wayne Palmer on July 18, 1981, in Wichita Falls, TX, and departed this life in Walters, OK, on September 9, 2024, at the age of 43 years, 1 month, and 22 days.
Coming from Wichita Falls at age 10, Brian grew up in Temple, OK, graduating from THS in 1999. He then attended college in Altus on a basketball scholarship before going to work at Goodyear. Brian joined the U.S. Army, serving his country honorably. Upon his discharge, he returned to contracting at Goodyear and later worked for Comanche Red River Casino for several years.
Brian enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and he loved basketball. He was a Lakers and Shaq fan and also supported the Dallas Cowboys.
Brian is survived by his mother, Debra Dawkins of Temple; three daughters, Payton Abbe and Darby Hogan of Mustang, OK, Brooklyn and Brandon Dunn of Temple, and Jalynn Abbe of Temple; two sons, B.J. Palmer of Walters, OK, and Isaiah Bolling of Lawton, OK; two sisters, Lakietha “Tweety” Diggs of Wichita Falls, TX, and Amber Diggs of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Gerald and Catherine Palmer of Wichita Falls, TX, and Gerald Wayne Palmer III also of Wichita Falls; four grandchildren, Owen Hogan, Kaisen Dunn, Jaxson Dunn, Zayne Dunn, and one on the way; and a host of other family and friends.
