September 1924: Historical Events
- September 1: The Dawes Plan goes into effect, restructuring Germany’s reparations payments to the Allied Powers post-World War I. Charles G. Dawes, key in developing the plan, would receive the Nobel Peace Prize in 1925 for his efforts.
- September 2: Rube Foster, President of the Negro National League, announces the first “Negro World Series” to be held in October, featuring the champions of his league and the Eastern Colored League.
