John Anderson won the title of Cotton County Commissioner District 1 on August 7th.
Anderson took the lead with 83 votes against his competitors, who each received 4, 7, and 72 votes.
In a post made by the Cotton County Election Board, they stated, “Because this was a special election called by the governor to fill an unexpired term, there will be no runoff. John Anderson will fill the rest of the unexpired term.”
In the last few months, John, who was Interim Cotton County Commissioner District 1, collaborated with the City of Walters to fix roads, helped with the construction of Mica’s Garden at Walters Elementary, and completed many other tasks for the benefit of our community. We know he will continue to do great things for the City of Walters as Cotton County Commissioner District 1.
Congratulations, John!
