The son of the late George and Merle (Poe) Moore, Billy was a man who valued family above all else. His life was a tapestry of deep connections and shared moments. He is survived by his loving wife, Sally (Matthews) Moore, of the home; his son Billy Glenn Moore Jr. of Oregon, and remembered by his stepson, the late Michael Gamble. His brother and sister, who preceded him in death, were a significant part of his life’s journey.

Billy’s formative years were spent in the close-knit community of Roosevelt, where he attended local schools and graduated from high school. His life took a turn of service when he was drafted into the army, a period that instilled in him a sense of duty and honor. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Highland Cemetery in Lawton, Oklahoma, under the direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.
