Descendants of the four Crow Brothers, Jim, Gus, Will and Jeff, gathered for the sixty-sixth annual family reunion on June 29-30, 2019. There was a change this year. The family members and friends met Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Geronimo First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. The festivities began with a prayer by Don Crow, followed by sandwiches, homemade ice cream and other desserts. The family then shared current family information and had a good time visiting.

At 10:45 a. m. Sunday, family and friends met for worship at the Comanche Nation Community Center in Walters, Oklahoma. Cheryl Crow played guitar and led the group in singing hymns. Billy Fred Crow then presented a sermon based on Luke 15: “Lost Sheep, Lost Coin, and Lost Son.”

After worship the family assembled for the noon meal, and Cladie James Thomas asked the blessing. After the meal Cheryl Crow and Shelby (Crow) Johnson entertained everyone by singing. Phillip Crow, Rob Crow, and Scott Crow entertained everyone with the annual auction, and a hat was passed for donations to raise money for the next reunion. They also presented special gifts to family members: Nevaeh Renee Crow for being the youngest at three months old; Shelby (Crow) Johnson and Zachary Johnson for being married most recently (June 8th, 2019); Billy Fred Crow and Sherry (Thompson) Crow for being married the longest (59 years, 9 months and 2 days); Rita Ferne (Crow) Odom from Sacramento, California, for traveling the greatest distance to attend (1,317) miles.

President Phillip Crow called the business meeting to order. Treasurer Linda (Crow) Frazier read the financial report, followed by Historian Janice (Crow) Luman, who read an account of family news for the past year. Secretary Kay (Crow) Clopton read the minutes from last year’s reunion.

Current officers were retained for the coming year: President Philip Crow, Vice President Rory Crow, Treasurer Linda (Crow) Frazier, Historian Janice (Crow) Luman, and Secretary Kay (Crow) Clopton. Those in charge of special projects are Lanetta (Crow) Martin for card sending; Penny Crow for special gifts; Shelby (Crow) Johnson and Linda (Crow) Frazier for children’s entertainment.

Children were entertained with crafts, games, and a Castle Bounce House.

One hundred five family members and friends attended the two day event. The group adjourned with expectations to meet in 2020 for the sixty-seventh annual Crow reunion on Saturday, June 27 at Geronimo First Baptist Church fellowship hall, and Sunday, June 28 at the Comanche Nation Community Center. We extend a big thank you to family members who made the reunion a wonderful success.
